Harbor Lights Triathlon was a great race. For some of us it was our first tri and, even first race of any kind. For thers of us it was yet one more fix. Marty and Rob featured their new Kestrel Talon's. Highlights of the race included 67 degree water that somehow felt like 57 degrees! There jitters a plenty around the portapotty before race time. Many of us spent time trying to get adjusted to water temperature before the race. It was a beautiful day with lots of comraderie and cheering volunteers and spectators.
Special thanks to our excellent instructors - Linda, Pam and Tony for those at EAC and RaceLogix. Pam's awesome swim training was quite evident with everyone looking great!
The first major event of the day was Barry's successuful completion of the Porta Potty Line!!!! Hooray Barry. A clip of that finish is available! Thanks all, it was really fun and exhilerating! See pictures and video below. Just click on the video links below but BE WARNED THEY ARE LARGE FILES so unless ur on calbe/DSL or at work... caution. I a have one more clip of WAVE 6 in transition but have to create more file space later. Feel free to ask me for copies if you like something. I think there is actually a file share feature somewhere on here.
